Spell Check  - Tuesday, November 29, 2016

This PTO fundraiser is open to all students from first through fifth grade. Students study a list of 50 words, and find sponsors who pledge a certain amount of money per correctly spelled word. Families can enroll by returning their clip-and-return forms via backpack mail, or emailing this year's spellcheck coordinator, Joanna Griffin, at jdtober@yahoo.com. Participating students gather for a free meal on Tuesday, November 29th, followed by a low-pressure written spelling test. Certificates are given to all spellers.

Spellcheck is an unusual fundraiser. We aren't asking you to sell anything--we're asking for family and friends to support students academically! Most kids are really motivated to learn their words, and the study skills they pick up during this fundraiser will help them throughout their school year. Below is the word lists for this year by grade.  To participate, click here to download sign up form.  Good luck!

We also need families to organize and serve the meal and help clean up and proctor tests. To volunteer contact Joanna: jdtober@yahoo.com
