For the PTO to be effective and truly representative of the school, it is essential to have involvement from as many families as possible.

We encourage every parent, grandparent, uncle, aunt, family friend that is part of an Emerson student's life to get involved. And, there are many different ways to help:

  • Cut and Count Box Tops

  • Help with Popcorn Fridays

  • Bake for/assist with our bake sale

  • Help clean up the grounds/gardens at Fall or Spring Beautification Day

  • Provide a dish, snack, beverage for a Staff Appreciation Luncheon

  • Help serve dinner at Science Night, Multicultural Night, etc.

  • Assist our librarian with setting up, staffing the check-out, and breaking down the Scholastic book sale fundraiser for the library.

  • Help run a game/station at Family Fun Night

  • Decorate for the School Dance

  • Grill/Serve hotdogs and veggie burgers for our end of year picnic

The PTO financially supports a broad range of activities and projects at Emerson, including field trips, building and grounds improvements, equipment and supply purchases, and community building events, such as Family Fun Night and the School Dance. In addition, the PTO provides grants to support teacher/staff projects.

Below is a listing of the many different ways you can help support our efforts.
